oh gawsh she's so cute! I always go away from btvs misremembering my feelings about Buffy herself b/c my love for her is a candle to my love for e.g. Anya or Tara or Willow or Oz or whoever, and because Buffy has that archetype thing going for her it's easy to translate that into "eh she's just the boring asshole hero." But actually, no! These icons are doing a pretty good job of reminding me of that.

♥ my feelings about buffy have always been complicated. there were points in the series where i just wanted to bitchslap her. but she's an amazing character because she's very real, with both flaws & traits that i admire. other characters ultimately win out as favourites, but buffy is the one who like, comprises a portion of my brainspace & always will.
